The proper dosage of medical cannabis will be different for each person, and will vary depending upon which method of consumption is used. It is important to start with a low dose, and gradually increase until you learn what works best for you. This process will be different for each patient. The effects produced by each strain of medical cannabis will differ depending upon the cannabinoid and terpene profiles. Typically, a patient will start by deciding whether they are looking for a Sativa, Indica, or Hybrid strain. Each person is unique. When first medicating with cannabis, start with a low dosage, and take it slow. Journal the effects and duration and slowly build up to the dosage which is most effective for you. Using the minimum amount of product for the maximum effect is ideal.

ADULT-USE (RECREATIONAL) CANNABIS QUESTIONS

As of January 1, 2020, the purchase of adult-use (recreational) cannabis is legal in the state of Illinois.

If you are not an Illinois registered medical cannabis patient, you must be 21 years of age or older to enter the dispensary and purchase cannabis.

Additionally, you must show a valid government issued I.D. Acceptable I.D.’s include a driver’s license, state I.D., military I.D. or U.S. passport.

As of January 1, 2020, purchase limits are as follows:

If you are an Illinois resident:

30 grams of cannabis flower
500 milligrams of THC in a cannabis-infused product
5 grams of cannabis concentrate

If you are a non-resident:

15 grams of cannabis flower
250 milligrams of THC in a cannabis-infused product
2.5 grams of cannabis concentrate
